While there is no denying that considerable volunteer effort is offered to present the Christian Homeschool Conference of South Dakota (CHCSD), it is humbling and amazing to see the magnification and direction of our gracious Father through His Son in the pieces falling together and the work being completed. We, the CHCSD Committee, firmly believe that this blessing is granted in order to encourage, inspire, and invigorate the Christian homeschooling community. We pray that this will be the case for your family with this year's conference.
SECHE was founded in 2002 by like-minded home educators who wanted to form a group where their belief in and acknowledgment of God was an integral part of the homeschool organization. In 2017, SECHE incorporated and became a 501(c)3 organization under the legal name of SERCHE (Sioux Empire Regional Christian Home Educators) in order to better serve the needs of its membership and improve its ability to grow the conference. While the official name of the non-profit corporation is SERCHE, we still operate under the familiar name of SECHE.
SECHE provides a variety of services in support of homeschooling in South Dakota. It endeavors to do so through protecting and advancing homeschooling rights and providing fellowship, education, and encouragement opportunities. SECHE is an official member of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and SECHE members receive a discount when joining HSLDA. SECHE sponsors the work of the Families for Alternative Instruction Rights in South Dakota (FAIRSD) Committee. This committee is actively involved with legislative and administrative entities, working to advance and defend homeschooling rights while educating and engaging the homeschooling community. SECHE also sponsors the CHCSD Committee who plans and executes this annual conference.
Special thanks is extended to the CHCSD Committee and SECHE Board. The time and work they contribute to both the conference and management of SECHE is appreciated.

We also want to thank the Sioux Falls Convention Center for the use of their wonderful facility.
